Havoc has seen your post and will be able to respond to your post later this evening. In the meantime, I'll ask you if you are familiar with Teamspeak, it is the communtications program we presently use to chat online with? If not, and if you have time, you can find it here.. Be sure you download the version suited for your computer. (ie 32 bit, 64 bit).

Once downloaded, click on Connections, then click on Connect and enter 63.210.145.43:9144 into the Server Address field. Enter you call-sign name into the Nickname field. There is no password required. This should connect you to the No Guts No Galaxy: Outreach Teamspeak and land you into their Lobby. Scroll down until you find the Death's Head Brigade channel and then click or double-click on the channel and it should send you right in.

I am a 6 year vet of eve online, and probably done every single VOIP at one point lol.

Which Version of TS are you? 2 or 3?

I also have mumble, Vent, skype, and a few others. Mumble by far has the best codec but isn't great for a few hundred people in my experience.

Hi again Walt,

A bunch of us have been getting together in TS quite a bit lately. We've also been getting a bit of practice in by playing MW4 online. The game is available as a free download at the MekTek site. Once the site opens up for you, scroll down a bit and on the right hand side you will find an image for Mechwarrior4: Mercenaries - MekPak 3.1. It's a great chance to get used to how a mech maneuvers and learn what different weapons do, as well as find out which mech you are most comfortable with, and what role suits you best. We would love to have you join us. I would however suggest you find us in TS before you download it, as there are some tricks involved depending on what operating system you run and such. But we would be glad to help you out with getting it installed and running. You would also get a chance to get to know some of the other members here, I think you'll find we're a pretty friendly bunch.

Give it some thought and let us know. There's usually someone in our TS channel most of the time, with the exception of the wee early hours of the morning, and even then, you may find some of our European players who speak English quite well, and can help you out as well.

Which are you having trouble with? TS or the game? If you can get on TS we can talk you through installing the game.

The game, talked to sarah... but at this point, I have deleted everything, including nuking the registry. I tried reinstalling but now stops on "Updating dw.exe".

Good times.

I am sure I will eventually figure it out... hopefully.

I had some problems wit their loader. I initialy got the game but when I tried to get updates it would just stall so I found a page somewhere where they had all the updates and such as normal downloads and just updated the game that way.

yep still working on it, getting them to install manually now... not sure what the deal was before... gotta find all the updates

Good Morning,

My call sign is Panzer. As for my resume of past experience. I started out on table top BT. MW1,MW2, MW3 with 12th Vegan Rangers, MW4 with 12th Vegan Rangers then OCAF. Since then I have been waiting for a new Mech game. Voice comms I will dl today and install. As to what role I will play, I feel I can fulfill whatever role I am needed in. MW4 I played light scout, assault and support roles, a command role, I would rather earn that. Thank you for your time. I look forward to communications in the near future.

Glad to meet you both. Welcome to the Brigade HQ. As you may or may not know, we have recently changed over from being Gray Death Legion, to a non canon merc corp.; the Death's Hand Brigade.

I hope to catch up with you both on the No Guts, No Galaxy teamspeak server soon, and once you get the Teamspeak 3 client installed, you can get the server address from the upper left window here on the forums, just above the news section.

Lots and lots of MechWarrior 3 online matches via MSN Gaming Zone back when it was around. I've never played the board game (no one was interested in trying it with me) but I definitely know my way around the cockpit. I'm already looking into what joystick to buy for MWO heh...

Preferred Role (Scout, Command, Attacker or Defender)
In most multiplayer games I play I'm usually the objective player which I guess would qualify me to be an attacker, but I've been in leadership positions in previous games (World of Warcraft guild and Team Fortress 2) clan and have sound strategic sensibilities so maybe I could do the command role as well. I'd have to see the mechanics of MWO in action myself to say for sure.

Preferred weight class (Or 'mech specifically)
Medium or Heavy.

Nice to see another MW3 player in here. Have to ask you what your call-sign used to be? Miss the heck out of that game, was definitley a blast. We've waited a loooong time to see this game come back to life. Right now a bunch of us are playing MW4, it's a free download now, and makes for good practice for when MWO goes live.

If you have Teamspeak, feel free to come join us. If not, try to get it downloaded, (TS3) and hang out with us, or join in a game.

Unfortunately we are not allowed to play Canon units as they may or may not make an appearance in game. This is also the older website; we now have a new one located at DeathsHandBrigade.com
